Baby Girl Blachly will be here before I know it. So while I finish "nesting up" the rest of the house (....has anyone seen how linty and dusty it gets behind the dryer?...) and work on her room, my sweet besties decided to help me get her closet in order! They threw us the most perfect baby shower that a girl could want!
I finally am on the receiving end for one of Casey famous bowed frames! She said she is hooking me up with an pretty initial for the bottom as soon as the birth certificate is signed and she knows for sure what her name is. What? Like I change my mind too much or something?! Ha...she know us too well I guess.
I am thrilled to have this beautiful frame that matches the bedding and decor and thought for a second I could eat it up with some m&m's on top. CUTECUTECUTE!
Josh and I graced the sign in table as funny little toddlers. Isn't it funny how obsessed we get with comparing our baby pictures to our children. I've done it since the moment Joseph was born. My decision is still out on who he looks the most like, but everyone else (by far) says Josh.
The decorations were really pretty! Everything tied into Valentines Day and it was so pink and red and sweet (literally)!
A Sweetheart Sprinkle, if you will.

Me and my pregnancy bud are a month apart. Our first-born boys are a month apart too! We're going to be each other's support, without a doubt!
I couldn't help but ooh and ahh and soak up all the girlie cuteness. Especially with the special hand made things. I am so happy to have some heirlooms to pass down to my children. Tammy crocheted a hat and bib for Baby Girl, and mom made two sweet flannel shirts and matching blankets with hand stitched edges. I can't wait to swaddle her up in those.
Jamie appliqued a onesie and a burp cloth with fun pink polka dots and stripes. Creativeness abounded!
And, back at home afterward....
...the afternoon just wouldn't have been complete with out laying out everything and dreaming about little finger and toes. Made out pretty good with some diapers to fill her changing table. Funnily enough tho, this is Joseph's old changing table that I am donating and just haven't gotten out of the house yet. It ended up in the new Baby Girl staging area (also known as the dinning room) and therefore has become the home of tons of diapers!
I've got everything sorted by size, shade of pink and type of material so far. Am going to start laundry soon!
You didn't buy that did you? I am NOT so type A that I have to sort that far into crazy baby clothes world....but I DO have the sizes in order and have a pretty good idea of a couple of things I want to get to finish up newborn necessities.
Joshie and I'll be painting our heart out this weekend and I'll be ready to post some new pictures after that!
Thanks to my most wonderful, super, fantastic best friends for the perfect "it's a girl" shower! It really makes a gal feel loved to have such great people in my life. Double thanks to the awesome guests for making the afternoon so special! Aren't babies just too much fun?!

What a fun time and wonderful friends that you have. A blessing for sure. Have you thought about painting the dressing table? And stenciling or something? Can hardly wait to see our "Baby Grill" in her beautiful wardrobe.
