...ha! You know how we do it here in Texas. Or rather how we don't do it. We don't do ice. Josh and I have been sitting here glued to the news. They are showing all the TXDOT camera views and there is one ramp that we've been watching in particular and routing for all the stuck cars. Is like a video game...except we don't have controllers. We've watched them one by one get stuck, then move a little, then get stuck again, sit and wait, then start to try to move again. We're trying to direct them and give them tips but they don't seem to hear us. ;)

We went out to check out the back yard and it was so pretty! I slip slided down the driveway and took some really beautiful pictures.
Josh is working from home for a bit until the temperature warms up some, plus he couldn't get the truck door open.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but the trees were sparkling with ice and beautiful.

What makes a regular old rusty fency a sight for your eyes? Well, a thick layer of sparkly ice of course! Our back yard was a winter wonderland and we get our daddy and husband home for a few hours this morning...what could be better?

The North Texas freeze photos are great! You are such a wonderful photographer! I especially love the close up of the single fence top wire. Beautiful! Stay warm! Shannon
Shut down unless you are at UNT!! We shut down all day yesterday (a work day, when I want to be at school because I get a lot of work done!), but today we opened at noon. I have class tonight, so I came up here at 1pm since I had to come anyway. Blah. There was quite a bit of ice between Corinth and Denton, but no big problems.
Great pics! It was nice driving through my neighborhood today seeing everything sparkle.
nice! i like the 1st gate pic =)we also have a great tree shot, it was so pretty with the sun shining through!
I always love your photos! Great shots, today was a great day to get out and snap some pics :)
ohhh ahhhhh! love those pics. I'm going to post mine later today - I was outside around 7 slippin' and picture takin' too. It was a gorgeous morning.
Yes you are quite the photographer. you oughta try to sell your photos. I thought about doing that at one time. When you figure out how to make millions doing that, you let me know. ;)
Glad everyone stayed safe. I only fell twice today and broke my arm and my tailbone. Or at least it feels that way.
Gotta love it! Just a bit of nice and the entire city shuts down! I was able to cozy up and finish a great read!
Btw, awesome pics!
those are great picts! Glad you all had some family time... who knew a 1/2 inch of ice could bring families together again?? ...only in Texas! ;-)
Awesome pics...but the best was having Josh home longer. What will they think when they find out you super glued his car door shut. Ha!!
