Tub Time With Joseph

I don't know about you, but I thought it was time for a little bath blog post! If I remember correctly, the last bath post was the FIRST bath! We've come a long way in the world of tub time...from a little lump who laid nicely and let us wash him, to a screaming, squirming almost-one-year-old, to a big boy who LOVES his baths! It's so much nicer now that he has embraced the tub time and accepts it with open arms. So much nicer. For months Josh and I had to both be present to get the job done. Now we both still usually give the baths, but I can certainly do it by myself if I feel so moved.

When we say it's bath time Joseph totally squeals (in delight, mind you) and heads for the bathroom. Clothes on or off he'll try to get in the tub before we've even run the water. He loves to play in the water, and darn it, it's the cutest thing. And fun for us too!

He likes to try to drink the water, and we let him since he's in the tub it doesn't matter if it goes everywhere, right? He doesn't quite have it mastered so we don't play that game when he wants our drinks outside of bath time. However, I did let him have my water glass when we went out to eat for New Years to keep him entertained, since he was getting really antsy - and we were almost ready to leave but needed just a few more minutes, and boy was that a treat. Also an disaster waiting to happen. All went well that time...only a minor spill. ;)

My friend Amber commented once about those big universally great yellow Dickey's cups. Where would we be in the world with out them?!

What Joseph? You no likey the warm bath water? Oh, wait, you got a drip there you gotta lick up? Oh! You want me to stop taking pictures?! Well, no need to stick your tongue out at me son. At least I haven't shown your pee-pee! Although it's quite the cute pee-pee if you ask this mommy. ;)

And after a full, fun bath time we have ourselves one clean, warm, happy baby! He likes to help comb in his hair too. Man, he's cool!
